Makanai Chatswood

Quick lunch at Chatswood!
I had a dish that was on their special summer menu, I forgot what it was called :P .

This dish was a cold noodle dish garnished with seaweed, corn, bbq pork, tomatoes, fried eggs, green leafy plant and shark fin salad on top. They poured a salad dressing all over these noodles. I regret choosing this dish, the Teriyaki chicken would've tasted much better and in a bento I could've even delved into some delicious sashimi *drool*. Bad luck for me, anyway the items on this dish tasted better alone than tossed into this strange salad. The meat tasted as though it belonged to a different dish and was simply added to this one for variety. The tomatoes were terribly soft and jelly-like. I will not choose this dish ever again, no wonder it isn't on their permanent menu. At least the texture of the noodles tasted nice.

Moving on, Ron chose Tonton noodles (also on their summer special menu), however it tasted much better than my one. It was a savoury, sour miso soup that went well with the noodles. Makanai's Tonton noodles does not taste as good as Ichiban Boshi's Tantan Tsukemen (which is the same equivalent dish).

I guess this store is okay to eat at, if you know which dishes to have. It was quite convenient too!

I don't live near Chatswood, but if you guys ever travel from Epping area to Chatswood area there is a very nice drive that takes you through a beautiful national park area. (: You can see the mountain range and a miniature valley on the way there. (:

I will finish my night with a delicious coconut!

My FAVOURITE! Coconut flesh!

Enjoy! (:
